Internal Scholarships

The Dr. Ken Probert Memorial Scholarship was established through generous donations to the University of Regina 2011 Matching Gift Program in honour of the late Dr. Ken Probert. Dr. Probert is remembered by his family, friends and colleagues for his love of literature and academia, his pure enjoyment of communal gatherings and his passion for teaching, for music and the arts. He joined the Faculty of Arts at the University of Regina in 1982 and pursued a tenured career in the Department of English until his retirement in 2010. He gave generously of his time and insight to both his students and colleagues.

Eligibility

The scholarship will be awarded to a University of Regina graduate student who meets the following criteria:
- Accepted as a fully qualified graduate student and in good standing;
- Entering (1st, 2nd or 3rd semester) a Master's degree program in English;
- Registered full-time during the semester the scholarship is awarded (minimum of six credit hours or as defined in the graduate calendar); and
- Minimum cumulative grade average (CGA) of 80% or equivalent to it.
