Internal Scholarships
This award will support female students who chooses a research route in their graduate program, as opposed to a course-only route. This scholarship will encourage research in education by providing financial support to assist with some of the expenses involved in researching a topic and writing a thesis.
Eligibility
The scholarship will be awarded to a University of Regina female graduate student who meets the following criteria:
- Holds a Baccalaureate or Master's degree;
- Full or part time female graduate student enrolled in a Master's or Doctoral program in Education;
- Has completed all course work in her master's program with a minimum CGPA of 80% and has had her thesis proposal approved;
- Or all course work with a minimum CGPA of 80% and comprehensive exam in her doctoral program, prior to carrying out research for their doctoral thesis; and
- Financial need will be considered.
Application Information
In addition, students will need to upload the following:
- A one page statement demonstrating financial need (Tell us your story as to WHY or the nature of your financial need); and
- UP TO DATE Transcripts, which include CURRENT SEMESTER REGISTRATION. University of Regina Unofficial Transcript titled ‘Unofficial Transcript' found in UR Self Service OR University of Regina Official Transcript from MyCreds. Please refer to the MyCreds | MesCertif learner FAQs for more information on fees and how to register.
IMPORTANT: If you are an entrance student with no grades yet at the U of R, in addition to the unofficial transcript found in UR Self Service or the official transcript from MyCreds, you MUST also provide a copy of your last institution transcript along with the grading key in order to be considered. You must combine these documents into one and upload them.
All of these items are needed for an application to be considered complete.
