Internal Scholarships
The JSGS Alumni Association Award was established in 2021 to assist students pursuing a master’s degree program at the Johnson Shoyama Graduate School of Public Policy. Anna Krutova was a graduate of JSGS and during her MPA program, a participant in the National Policy Case Competition. As an established public servant, she worked in progressively senior roles within the Government of Saskatchewan in the Ministries of Economy, Finance, and SaskBuilds and Procurement where she led the Advanced Education infrastructure file. This award honours her commitment to collaboration, teamwork and her sustained interest in learning and development.
Eligibility
The award will be presented to a University of Regina or University of Saskatchewan graduate student who meets the following eligibility criteria:
- Enrolled in a Master’s degree program in the Johnson Shoyama Graduate School of Public Policy;
- Is a fully qualified graduate student;
- Is not holding other graduate funding valued at more than $5,000 at the time the award is presented; and
- Students must submit a 250-word statement highlighting their community involvement and dedication to public service. The statement must also describe the applicant’s financial need. Applicants may submit reference letters that support their community involvement and dedication to public service.
Application Information
In addition, students will need to upload the following:

- UP TO DATE Transcripts, which include CURRENT SEMESTER REGISTRATION. University of Regina Unofficial Transcript titled 'Current Registration & List of Courses (Unofficial Transcript)' found in UR Self Service OR University of Regina Official Transcript from MyCreds. Please refer to the MyCreds | MesCertif learner FAQs for more information on fees and how to register.
IMPORTANT: If you are an entrance student with no grades yet at the U of R, in addition to the unofficial transcript found in UR Self Service or the official transcript from MyCreds, you MUST also provide a copy of your last institution transcript along with the grading key in order to be considered. You must combine these documents into one and upload them.
All of these items are needed for an application to be considered complete.
