Margaret McNamara Education Grants - US-Canada
Margaret McNamara Education Grants (MMEG) is a Washington DC-based non-profit awarding education grants to female full-time students from developing countries who are at least 25 years old. Our mission is empowering women who aspire to better the lives of women and children by supporting their higher education.
Eligibility
- a self-identifying woman, and at least 25 year old at time of application deadline;
- be a national or a country listed on the MMEG Country Eligiblity list (see country list);
- be registered (not just accepted) at an accredited in-person academic institution and program when submitting their application;
- plan to be enrolled for one full academic semester (half-year term) after award of the MMEG grant;
- plan to graduate no later than three years after the award of the MMEG grant;
- not be related to a World Bank Group, International Monetary Fund, or Inter-American Development Bank staff member, spouse, retiree or MEEG Board member.
- not hold US citizenship or permanent residency (green card) or Canadian citizenship or Canadian landed immigrant status
