Dr. Ed Tate, CTO and co-founder of Virtus Solis, brings over 20 years of engineering expertise to space-based energy solutions. His pioneering work in automotive engineering includes influential roles in the development of the GM EV1 and Chevy Volt. With deep expertise in electromagnetics, computational fluid dynamics (CFD), and systems analysis, Dr. Tate has spearheaded proprietary technologies at Virtus Solis to enable scalable energy delivery from space. Holder of over 40 patents, he actively contributes to NASA's Cosmic Technology Roadmap, shaping the future of space technology. Dr. Tate holds advanced degrees from Stanford and a Ph.D. from the University of Michigan and is a widely recognized expert in RF engineering.
Bryan Zetlen
Aerospace engineer, entrepreneur, and educator, Bryan Zetlen’s contributions include the iconic Canadarm project and critical work on the ISS, Shuttle Transport System, and Sea Launch. An adjunct professor at the University of Washington, Bryan’s career reflects deep expertise in space operations and systems integration across both public and private sectors, impacting major NASA, FCC, and DOE projects.
