Levene Speaker Series  What can Saskatchewan's role be in Canada's global food economy featuring Dr. Sylvain Charlebois, Professor and Director, Agri-Food Analytics Lab, Dalhousie University:

Tuesday, May 17
12:00 noon - 1:00 p.m. (Saskatchewan time)
Remote via zoom

It is highly unlikely Canada will ever experience severe food shortages. Nonetheless, many countries, including Canada, will face a real and harsh dilemma in the coming months, trying to balance our nation's own food security while helping other regions of the world. And all eyes are on Saskatchewan this year, in particular. But beyond famines, and human tragedy, the province also has an incredible role, in Canada and beyond, through innovation, supply chain resilience, animal and soil science, agri-tech and more.

This fireside chat will focus on what students, research and industry can do to support the province's ambition to remain a global agri-food powerhouse.

The Levene Speaker Series is *free* to attend , though you are encouraged to make a donation to the Hill and Levene Schools' Student Relief Fund . A link to donate is located on the confirmation page that will appear following your registration.
