Location: Queen's University in Kingston, ON
Each fall students from the Paul J. Hill School of Business enter the Inter-Collegiate Business Competition (ICBC). The preliminary round has students complete a business case analysis. Students have a month to complete their analysis and submit their recommendation. The cases are then reviewed and the top 6 finalists in each category are selected and invited to the Final Round at Queen’s School of Business in Kingston, ON.
The Final Round takes place over two days where students have 5.5 hours to analyze and prepare a business case to present to a panel of judges.
This year, under the direction of Faculty Advisor Paul Sinclair, the Hill ICBC had 3 of their 4 teams qualify to advance to the final round of competition. This placed the team in the top six schools in the competition which resulted in them being invited to send a debate team to the final round as well. The teams that will compete in the final round include:
- Accounting: Meagan Ireland and Ryan Hamilton (coached by Nola Joorisity)
- Finance: Boey Leung and Jordan Tholl (coached by Paul Sinclair and Youngsoon Kim)
- Marketing: Eric Gray and Maya Potter (coached by Tatiana Levit)
