Prince's Operation Entrepreneur
Sun., Aug. 18, 2019 12:00 a.m. - Sat., Aug. 24, 2019 12:00 a.m.
The Hill School of Business along with Enactus will be hosting 20 transitioning military from across Canada for the Prince’s Operation Entrepreneur (POE) entrepreneurial boot camp August 18 to 24.
POE is a unique, made-in-Canada program that provides servicemen and women with the education, tools, and resources needed to launch and sustain successful businesses. POE is a program of Prince’s Trust Canada. The boot camp week is an opportunity for transitioning military and veterans who are already working on their businesses, or about to launch, to learn from professors and entrepreneurs on topics including market research, finance, human resources, marketing and social media.
In addition to giving back, this event is a great learning experience for our students, including our Enactus Regina student group who project manages the week long program with the help of JDC West and the Hill BSS. Participants receive expert training and mentorship from top students, business faculty, entrepreneurs and Regina community leaders to help them finalize their plans.
This is the 7th year that the Hill School of Business is participating in this initiative.
