Speaker- Mr. Glen Metzler

The third speaker in the Insight series is Glen Metzler, president, managing director and founder of API LAbs, a pharmaceutical and chemical company focusing on bringing commercial poppy production to Canada. Mr. Metzler will present "Farm to Pharmaceuticals: The story of growing poppies high in thebaine on the Canadian prairies."

Born and raised in Pincher Creek, Alberta, Mr. Metzler has been involved in commercial agricultural production his entire life. He has supplemented his practical experience with a business oriented education completing programs in agricultural business, business administration and international marketing at Olds College, Lethbridge Community College and the Univerisity of Lethbrideg; respectively. As a career, Mr. Metzler has been involved in research and market development across numerous industries in Canada and internationally: including over 20 years of experience developing and launching new products. This experience, combined with his agricultural background, provide the strong marketing core necessary to usher API Labs and its products into commercial operations.
