Program Description
The Learning from Entrepreneurial Failure (Fail UP) program is a non-credit course providing a chance for transformative and experiential learning. Tailored for a cohort of up to 22 students per session, this free program is crafted to assist participants in overcoming the stigma associated with failure and integrating it as a fundamental component of the entrepreneurial journey.
Fail UP encompasses a series of sessions spread across seven weeks. The first session delves into the theories and frameworks surrounding learning from failure, stressing its pivotal role in fostering entrepreneurial growth and achieving business success (conducted by a faculty member). The subsequent six sessions showcase speakers from diverse sectors and entrepreneurial ventures, each sharing personal stories of facing and gleaning insights from business failures. This program gives participants an opportunity to engage with both speakers and fellow cohort members.
Learning from Entrepreneurial Failure Digital Badge
A digital badge is a digital representation or credential that verifies an individual's accomplishment, skill, or completion of a specific task, course, or program. It serves as a portable and visual means of recognizing and validating achievements in various fields, such as education, professional development, or specific skill sets. They can be displayed on digital platforms like social media profiles, personal websites, or online resumes to showcase one's accomplishments and skills to potential employers, colleagues, or peers.
Upon the successful completion of all sessions and submission of written reflections, participants will be awarded the Learning from Entrepreneurial Failure Digital Badge, which will serve as a visible acknowledgment of a student's commitment to learning from failure and their dedication to the Fail UP program.
