Psychology Honours Program
The Honours degree is ideal preparation for advanced graduate studies in clinical, experimental, applied, and counseling psychology. Students interested in pursuing graduate studies work one-on-one with a psychology faculty member, designing their very own honours thesis research project, and take a slightly different set of courses to complete an Honours degree. The experience of collecting and analyzing data, as well as sharing original research findings with others in the scientific community, is an exciting opportunity. Such research experience prepares students for advanced graduate studies leading to careers as clinical practitioners (working in the areas of health and mental health), teachers and researchers in academic settings, and public or private consultants.
Honours Application Process
Application documents should be emailed to Psychology.Dept@uregina.ca.
We are currently accepting applications for Fall of 2025. Deadline for applications is February 1, 2025.
Please note: The honours application review and matching process is lengthy and involved. Students should not expect to receive notification of the results prior to March 15. Students should not wait to find out the results prior to registering for their other Fall classes. All students accepted into honours will have a spot held for them in PSYC 400.
Application to the Psychology Honours program require the following:- Program GPA of at least 80%
- Major GPA of at least 80%
- Completion of at least 60 credit hours

- Completion of the Psychology Honours Program Application form (see below);
