Faculty of Social Work
Helping communities in need
Our students in the Faculty of Social Work go on to serve many diverse communities, helping to identify the needs of — and facilitate support for — the disadvantaged, marginalized, and oppressed, and empower individuals, families, and communities to realize their full potential.
Rural and Remote Placements
Our university is rooted in the belief that we reach our greatest potential when we work together. That's why we’re raising much-needed funds in support of Rural and Remote Placements. Our province’s rural and remote communities face a longstanding shortage of qualified social workers. Your contribution will help support students that choose to fulfil their practicum in rural or remote areas.
“Small donations may seem like a drop in the bucket at first, but if you have a few dozen or even a few hundred donors provide support to students, then the compounding wealth will be significant.”
— Nils Clausson, Donor since 2020
Your support is key to making these goals a reality.
Your gift, regardless of size, will make a valuable and immediate difference to the lives of students in the Faculty of Social Work today.
