Certificate in Queer, Trans, and Gender Studies
The Certificate in Queer, Trans, and Gender Studies provides undergraduate students an opportunity to pursue a course of study that critically examines for 2SLGBTQI+ issues and identities. 2SLGBTQI+ studies are critical for diverse employment and further education, from human resources, health care, journalism, social work, fine arts, to name a few. Core classes will provide direct address for Two Spirit students and allies to topics such as decolonizing gender and sexuality, and Indigiqueer and Two Spirit history and contemporary issues.

18.0 Total: 65.00% PGPA and 60.00% UGPA required.
The Certificate offers students an 18-credit hour program designed to be taken in conjunction with other UofR programs, or on a part-time basis by members of the local community.
Students should consult with the Department Head of Gender, Religion, and Critical Studies to determine if other Selected Topics courses are approved electives.
