Recent Work Published on Cover of JB
June 2011
Congratulations to Liz, Sam (a former honours student) and Dinah (new post-doc) who have had work published on the
cover of the Journal of Bacteriology.

Caption: Transmission electron micrograph showing cells of a Rhizobium leguminosarum mutant. The mutant cells develop into large distorted spheres, a severe morphological defect compared to typical wild-type rod-shaped cells. The mutation is within a four-gene operon that is broadly conserved in the alphaproteobacteria. The mutational analysis in R. leguminosarum provides the first functional insight into this operon of previously unknown function.
