Anger: (Toxic 5)
16mm film, 5 minutes, 2004 (additional images 1, 2)
When I am angry, I don't usually show it. This is a very still film but the colour and the shifting and solarization effects reflect my inner turmoil. This was the last of the films to be finished, and also the last film I had done by Rick Doe of Local Film Lab in Calgary. The beautiful colour shifts were done in the lab, I told Rick to shift them this way and that, to be crazy and creative with it, and to have fun. I was overjoyed with the results. Rick passed away suddenly, probably within a week of finishing this film. He had been very helpful and open with his knowledge, aiding extensively with the work I did with this project and all of my hand processed films. I dedicate the Toxic series to him.
