Convocation Awards
Faculty Prizes
All faculties offer prizes, presented each Convocation to the top graduating student in each undergraduate faculty who is receiving a first degree at that Convocation and who does not hold a previous degree.
President’s Awards
The President's Medal is presented at each Convocation to an undergraduate student receiving a first degree who best exemplifies the combination of academic studies with leadership qualities.
The President's Distinguished Graduate Student Award is awarded at Fall Convocation to the student at the Master’s or Doctoral level who has defended theses, or completed final exhibitions or performances, and is graduating at the current year’s Spring or Fall Convocation ceremony.
University Medal
The University Medal is awarded at the Spring Convocation ceremony to the most distinguished student at the University based on academic achievement during the previous twelve months.
Governor General's Medals
The Academic Silver Medal is awarded at the Spring Convocation ceremony to the undergraduate student who achieves the highest academic standing in a Bachelor degree program.
The Academic Gold Medal is awarded at the Spring Convocation ceremony to the graduate student who achieves the highest academic standing in either a Master's or Doctoral program.
