The University of Regina celebrates Fall 2023 Convocation

The accomplishments of 908 students who will be receiving 933 degrees, diplomas and certificates will be celebrated during the Fall 2023 Convocation ceremony.

The University of Regina will also be awarding Gary J. Drummond an honorary Doctor of Laws honoris causa (LLD) in recognition of his career as a lawyer and business and community leader. (Drummond was originally scheduled to receive his honorary degree at the Spring 2023 Convocation, but was unable to attend).

“The University community looks forward to recognizing the achievements of all our graduating students and our deserving honorary degree recipient,” said President and Vice-Chancellor Dr. Jeff Keshen.  “We also offer special congratulations to the academic award recipients for their outstanding academic achievement and service to the University and broader community.”

A live stream of the ceremony will be available on the University’s Facebook page. As well, a recording of the event will be posted to the site so students, family, and friends unable to attend in person, can view the celebration online.

There will be a media availability for Gary Drummond and/or U of R President and Vice-Chancellor, Jeff Keshen at 1 p.m. prior to Convocation. Interviews can be arranged through the contact listed above.
