The Meitheal Award was established in 2018 to recognize clinical psychology graduate students at the University of Regina who in the course of their studies, demonstrate honour and commitment to working towards a better relationship between psychology and Indigenous peoples, in answer to calls of the "Truth and Reconciliation Commission”.

Eligibility

Two awards will be presented to a University of Regina graduate students who meets the following criteria:
- Enrolled in the Clinical Psychology program through the Faculty of Arts;
- Demonstrated commitment to the Principles of Truth and Reconciliation or Anti-Racism through their clinical, research, or professional work:
- Students must submit one-page essay on the ways in which they have actively worked toward the Principles of Truth and Reconciliation or Anti-Racism during the past year (September to August);
- Registered as a full time student in the semester the award is presented;
- Student must be in good academic standing; and
- Preference will be given to self-declared Indigenous students who meet the above criteria.

Application Information

In addition, students will need to upload the following:

-One page essay on the ways in which they have actively worked toward the Principles of Truth and Reconciliation or Anti-Racism during the past year (September to August); and

- UP TO DATE Transcripts, which include CURRENT SEMESTER REGISTRATION. University of Regina Unofficial Transcript titled 'Current Registration & List of Courses (Unofficial Transcript)' found in UR Self Service OR University of Regina Official Transcript from MyCreds. Please refer to the MyCreds | MesCertif learner FAQs for more information on fees and how to register.

IMPORTANT: If you are an entrance student with no grades yet at the U of R, in addition to the unofficial transcript found in UR Self Service or the official transcript from MyCreds, you MUST also provide a copy of your last institution transcript along with the grading key in order to be considered. You must combine these documents into one and upload them.
