Rules

Material covered

The final is comprehensive: it covers the entire semester. However, more emphasis will be put on material after the midterm, starting with Chapter 14.

Problems will be somewhat similar to the homework, practice problems, and the practice exam.

Practice exam

Here is a practice midterm, which is longer than the real exam. Solutions are available on OWL, under Resources / Exam solutions.

For additional practice, here is an old practice final from a similar course. Solutions will not be posted.

For yet more practice, look at the Review sections at the end of each chapter in the textbook. Look again at review problems for the midterm. Here are the topics covered after the midterm.

Conflict exam

If you have a schedule conflict, you should have been notified by the Registrar's Office. Please also notify me no later than Monday December 1.

Review session

There will be a review session on Thursday December 4, 3:30 - 5:30 PM, in room MC 108. There willl be a break in the middle; feel free to attend only one of the two hours.

Grades

The grades have been posted on OWL. The class median is 72.5%.
