EM Drive
Wed., Apr. 5, 2017 3:30 p.m. - Wed., Apr. 5, 2017 4:30 p.m.
Location: CL 126
Abstract: There has been much discussion about the controversial EM Drive – a device that generates thrust without the use of any propellant. Many people debate as to its validity, however, there is experimental evidence giving a proof of concept for the drive. Details of this experiment performed by the Eagleworks team at NASA will be presented, as well as possible explanations for the physics behind the drive. An outlook on the future of the EM drive will be discussed in regard to future experimentation and the possible applications and uses for such a drive.
Speaker: Marcello La Posta, Department of Physics, University of Regina
Note: This is an Honours Seminar.
