Abstract: Energy issues are important to Canada, but include many technical details from a broad range of sciences that are often not covered in formal education. The Energy Education group at the University of Calgary has built an extensive and free on-line resource suitable for adults with a university education learning about energy. This resource includes interactive data visualizations and real world simulations to help students understand the role of energy in modern society. This talk discusses energy poverty in the modern world, climate change, and the on-line resource.
Speaker: Jason Donev, University of Calgary
