Rules

Material covered

The final covers the entire semester. The focus is on material covered after the midterm: Section 13.4 and all of Chapter 14.

Problems will be somewhat similar to the homework, practice problems, and the practice exam.

For additional practice, here is an old practice final. Solutions will not be posted.

For yet more practice, look at the Review sections at the end of each chapter in the textbook. Look again at review problems for the midterm. Here are the topics covered after the midterm.

Conflict exam

Please consult the university policy on Exams Conflicts and Multiple Exam situations. If you are in one of those situations, please contact me no later than Sunday December 1.

Grades

The grades for the Final have been posted on OWL. The class median is 86%.

Course grades have been posted. The Exam Total (worth 70%) takes the "deal on the Final" into account. The Homework Total (worth 30%) takes into account dropping the lowest score, as well as homework scores excused for medical reasons. Course grades are rounded to the nearest integer.
