EMBA Admission Information

International applicants who intend to leave their employment to pursue their studies may be ineligible for this program. EMBA students are normally expected to be working full-time while completing the program. The program is structured in a way such that students are expected to apply their ongoing learning in real time in their organizations. They are also expected to bring insights from the ongoing application in practice back into the classroom throughout the program.

The Levene EMBA program has one intake every two years: as the next intake is August, 2024. The EMBA application deadline is May 15th to be considered for the late August 2024 intake.

Admission Requirements: Applicants must meet the admission standards of the Faculty of Graduate Studies and Research (FGSR) and the Levene Graduate School of Business, which are:

1. A four-year undergraduate degree with a minimum grade point average equivalent to Canadian 70% (or mid-career option)

2. At least eight years full-time work experience.
    • Experience must be obtained after completion of an undergraduate degree
    • Internships, work placements and Co-Operative Education placements will not be considered valid experience
3. Two (2) official reference letters are to be submitted and are considered official when:
  • Received from secure email link sent from the reference listed in your application
  • Received in an envelope that is sealed and bears the referee's signature across the seal of the envelope
  • Sent to Grad.Docs@uregina.ca from the referees' verifiable email address

The two letters of reference are to be from persons (ie. academics, employers) who can critically assess the applicant's ability to do research and advanced courses, and who cannot be a closely associated person or another current graduate student.

Language Requirements: Applicants must submit proof of English proficiency if the language of instruction in their undergraduate degree was not English (score cannot be older than 2 years). View the English language proficiency requirement.

Mid-Career option: Management professionals who do not meet the required GPA or those who do not have an undergraduate degree, but who have a minimum of eight to ten years senior level work experience may qualify for the mid-career option. These candidates may be required to take a GMAT exam. For more information, contact Business.Recruitment@uregina.ca.

Meeting these minimum requirements is not a guarantee of acceptance into the program.
