Stringing You Along

I found this marionette puppet at the Value Village and wanted to see how difficult it would be to operate. Chrystene Ells said that they took a long time to master, but it really wasn't mastery that I was interested in, but basic illusions. The actual operation is not the hand seen here (obviously) but is two hands higher up from the puppet. I stitched the background together from seven or eight photos taken along my street. The puppet's shadow is also constructed and added in After Effects. The "song" is "Love Strings" because, well I guess he loves his strings. VIDEO
