Gerald Saul publication

In the 1980s, when independant comic books were on the rise, my friend paul Stockton decided to become a publisher and created a company called Strawberry Jam Comics. Based upon the amazing talent of Mike Bannon whom he'd encountered through the letters pages of Cerebus the Aardvark and later came to know as a very funny comic creator through interaction on a comic book based APA zine, paul began to publish To Be Announced in 1985. He also created a series called Night Life, written by Derek McCullough and illustrated by Simon Tristam. I was invited to participate from the beginning, my only published contribution being the writing of a theme song for the company, to be sung to the tune of the Beatles "Strawberry Fields Forever". The art/design for this back page of TBA#1 was Simon Tristam.
