Variations on Gerald Saul
16mm film with digital alteration, 2 minutes, 2007
An homage to David Rimmer's famous cellophane wrapper film which I have grown to love love love. This is not a serious work, I simply wanted to play with digital tools and attempt to create effects which reflect the film-based effects achieved in the original. I attempted to stay within colour ranges and visual limits that an optical printer and extensive traditional lab work could produce. The music is my William. This is me in the shot, created during a workshop with (then) graduate student Jirayu (Jane) Uttaranakorn.
