The Stoaters: "Crooked Hand Jack" music video

16mm film, 4 minutes, 1991 (additional image - crew shot)

Between 1988 and 2001, I worked on a number of music videos and other film projects with producer Terry Biddell. Primarily my role had been writer, putting written proposals and pitches together. We were successful in funding a number of videos through such sources as VideoFact (out of Canada's MuchMusic network). These videos included two for Fall Down Go Boom. The only music video I directed was this one for this Vancouver-based Celtic rock band, the Stoaters. It was shot in Saskatoon as the Besbourough Hotel in black and white with a 1930's horror theme and finished to 16mm (I have the only print). It was nominated for a Saskatchewan Showcase award.
