The Son of Cthulhu
16mm film, 8 minutes, 1991
In 1986, my friend and mentor Szymon Choynowski resigned from teaching and gave me a large roll of clear 16mm leader so long as I promised to make good use of it. I set off to create a half hour drawing-on-film adaptation of an H.P.Lovecraft novel. Sever back pains curbed my enthusiasm after I'd created a few minutes and it took me five more years to complete it in this shorter form.

In 2021, William Bessai-Saul created "The Son of the Son of Cthulhu" using scratch techniques onto 35mm film.
