16mm films, 30 seconds each, 1995
These two silent, black and white films were made for the price listed. Armed with a couple of Margaret Bessai's line drawings and a modified splicer, I photocopied the fine lines onto a transparency and then painstakingly sliced it into ribbons of film the width of 16mm film. Using the splicer I'd partially disassembled, I managed to punch the appropriate holes into the film. They have run at least five times and still hold up, pretty good value. I created and presented these at York University while doing my MFA.
