At least he used it as an adjective

HD Video , 72 seconds, colour, 2012

I think this could have been me, using words I don't understand when I am feeling particularly confident. It would not have been me once challenged, as my capacity for self doubt, especially when I was a student, was quite high. "Abject" is an odd word for me as the sound of it doesn't elicit the actual meaning to me and I am quite likely to think of it meaning almost anything other than what it does mean (adj. low, contemptible, miserable, wretched). I just noticed that I spelled "contemptible" incorrectly in the titles inside the film. Ugh.

The images is macro shots of steel wool, twisted and dangerous, but beautiful as well. The meaning of the image, as with the word, is confused and somewhat ambiguous. VIDEO
