It's About Time

HD Video , 3 minutes, colour, 2013

Based on a fragment of a story unearthed at the history room at the Regina Public Library, this film uses puppets to tells an abstracted story of a woman waiting for her husband to come home from gallivanting around the country. To me, the film is all about patience and the way we perceive time, in real life as well as in films.

The project began as a part of the "This Big World" puppet workshop project through the Saskatchewan Filmpool with artist in residence Chrystene Ells. I shot it with my son's help on January 6 and first screened it as part of the Saskatchewan screening at the first IPUFF (International Puppet Underground Film Festival) in Regina in 2013.
