• What are some of the typical features of the geography and topography of Greece?
• What general conclusions can you make regarding the relationship between a) the geography and topography of Greece and b) its politics and history and contact with other peoples?
• What are some of the distinguishing features and characteristics of Minoan palaces?   Consider both design and construction.
• What observations can you make regarding the social and political organization of Knossos?   What about the relations between different palaces?   Economic structure?
• What are some of the key motifs of Minoan visual arts and crafts?   How do these compare to what we know of visual arts from other cultures?  What types of materials were used?
