Chemical & Laboratory Safety Workshop

PREREQUISITE: MUST COMPLETE the Online Training (via UR Courses: https://urcourses.uregina.ca) PRIOR to attending the workshop.

-Basic laboratory safety
-Proper selection of personal protective equipment
-Chemical spill clean-up
-Hands-on chemical storage exercise
-Fire Extinguisher Simulator practice
-WHMIS Certification Exam
Who should attend: This course is mandatory for all employees, (faculty and staff), undergraduate, graduate students, and volunteers who manage or work in a laboratory at the U of R.
Note: There will be an in-class WHMIS exam, so please complete the online training before attending this course. If you are in the Faculty of Engineering you are free to leave at 11:30 am and write the exam at a later time.
