As we approach the end of the calendar year, supervisors of CUPE staff should be preparing for the annual performance review process which includes completing the appraisal form, preparing for the meeting with the employee to discuss the review and developing expectations/goals for the 2015 review year. The University of Regina expects that supervisors use the performance review as an opportunity to improve and enhance communication, recognize good performance and identify improvement and development needs. Completed performance reviews are due to the HR OFFICE BY January 13, 2015.
The University of Regina is committed to helping supervisors further develop their ability to conduct effective performance reviews. Half day refresher training is available every week for five weeks beginning Wednesday morning November 12th from 8:30 to noon, Tuesday afternoon November 18th 1:30 to 4:30 , Tuesday afternoon November 25th, 1:30 to 4:30 Tuesday afternoon December 2nd 1:30 to 4:30 and Tuesday afternoon December 9th 1:30 to 4:30 .
These session are designed to not only provide you with the tools to effectively do performance reviews but to practice this skills during the session. Supervisors wishing to participate must be currently supervising CUPE staff.
