Chemical & Laboratory Safety Workshop

Prerequisite: Please complete the Online Training (Part 1) prior to attending the workshop. Contact health.safety@uregina.ca if you have not been enrolled in the online training.
Topics/activities:
-Basic laboratory safety
-Proper selection of personal protective equipment
-Chemical spill clean-up
-Hands-on chemical storage exercise
-Fire Extinguisher Simulator practice
-WHMIS Certification Exam
Who should attend: This course is mandatory for all employees, (faculty and staff) undergraduate and graduate students who manage or work in a laboratory at the U of R.
Note: There will be an in-class WHMIS exam, so please complete part 1 (online training) before attending this course.
