Prerequisite: Fire Safety 101 Online Training through UR Courses.
Course Objective:
To provide participants with a basic understanding of the when and how to utilize a fire extinguisher including:
- Sources of Fire
- Classes of Fire
- Types of Fire Extinguishers
- How to Use an Extinguisher
- Rules -When not to use an extinguisher.
- "Hands on" Extinguisher Training
Who should attend:
Open to all University of Regina OH&S Committee members, Campus Security and Facilities Management employees plus any other interested faculty and staff.
Class sizes are limited so please register early.
If there is sufficient interest additional sessions will be scheduled for Faculties, Departments & Administrative Units.
All Emergency Wardens receive this course as part of their training. It is also offered as a component of Lab Safety training.
