       Education in Canada is compulsory for all school-aged children.  There are both public and private schools, but they are not identical.  Private schools usually have higher status.  But, they also have expensive tuition and most families can’t afford it.  One negative aspect of public schools can be the lack of discipline.  On the whole, education tries to reflect the culture of Canadian society.
