I'm Not Sold

Commercialism is an odd idea to me. I've lived in Saskatchewan most of my life and until the past couple of years, it has always seemed that we had nothing anyone else really wanted. We weren't for sale because we had nothing to sell. When I was finishing film school and everyone was worrying about whether or not we would maintain our artistic integrity, I declared that I would worry about selling out only if there was someone buying. There wasn't. Now the houses cost five times more than they did 15 years ago and the politicians have announced that we are a "have" province. I'm not really sold on this idea yet. I really don't think anyone wants what we are selling, and I've not heard any offers yet. VIDEO
