These videos were made specifically for the International Film Festival "Carbunari 2011" in Paris. Experimental films which participated at FIFE 2011 illustrated the poems presented at the 34th edition of The French-English Poetry Festival, organized by the LA TRADUCTIERE magazine. While I did have English translations of each of them, I felt that the French reading, especially with a Quebecois accent, would bring an interesting undertone to them. For the voice I hired a 2011 graduate from our film program, Emilie Lebel.
