Course description

This course investigates Earth as a dynamic and evolving planet.  The present surface is a record of geologic phenomena that act on a time scale that are not observed in the daily events that shape our society. This is an introduction to geological principles. The rocks and minerals composing Earth, the movement within it, and its surface features and the agents that form them.

Work Required:

Exams - A Mid-term and final exam will be given

Labs - Labs are required, conducted during the last 1.5 hours of class time.

Extra credit - Extra credit will be assigned as points on exams.
