The 11th RCE Saskatchewan's Education for Sustainable Development Awards (2019) 

Location: Hannin Creek Education and Applied Research Centre, Saskatchewan

We have won a provincial award on sustainable education! RCE Saskatchewan (Regional Centre of Expertise on Education for Sustainable Development) has recognized our student design project as an innovative project that has "made innovative achievements in education that builds capacity for sustainable development in Saskatchewan and that help contribute to the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals (2015-2030)".

Innovation Challenge 

We have won the Saskatchewan’s latest Innovation Challenge: "How can technology be used to monitor the amount of solid waste generated and disposed of in the province?"

We have received $10,000 and a 16-week residency to develop our  solution in collaboration with government. For more, please click the link below:

First place overall ($300):

Team 1 - "Deddiboo" (ES, HS, DL)

Total score: 32 (Max. load: 1764 N, Wt.: 134 g; Load-to-weight ratio: 13.21)


Second place ($200):

Team 8 - "TRUSS me I'm an Engineer" (TR, AN, JD, PH)

Total score: 25 (Max. load: 796 N, Wt.: 136 g; Load-to-weight ratio: 5.86)


Third place ($100):

Team 7 - "Chicken Dinner 2" (KZ, HC)

Total score: 20 (Max. load: 916 N, Wt.: 117 g; Load-to-weight ratio: 7.85)
