Sustainable Solid Waste Management Workshop II 

Date: December 15th, 2017 (Friday)

Location: RIC atrium, University of Regina

Time: 12:00 noon – 1:00 pm

Please join us on Dec 15th for a short 1-hr workshop on solid waste management. We will cover the following topics:

- Waste Management and Recycling in Saskatchewan

- Cigarette Butt Littering and Campus Smoking Policy

- Beautifying our Campus on the Annual Campus Beautification Day


Free pizza and pop will be provided. This event is open to public and ALL are welcome! Reservation is NOT required.

5th Annual CSCE popsicle stick bridge competition at U of R (2017)

The Prize: First Place - $300, Second Place - $200, Third Place - $100

First place overall ($300):

Team 1 - "Megastructure"(PG, MM). Total score: 35 (Max. load: 1064 N, Load-to-weight ratio: 6.89)


Second place ($200):

Team 7- "Eagle"(SW, ZX, MZ). Total score: 25 (Max. load: 602 N, Load-to-weight ratio: 4.87) * with prediction bonus *


Third place ($100):

Team 2 - "Go Bridge"(CP, HLV, DB). Total score: 25 (Max. load: 720 N, Load-to-weight ratio: 5.81)
