Notes for Table 4:

  1. The countries of origin shown here are the countries that supplied refugees to Regina, as shown in Table 3.
  2. The classifications for these three Censuses are not necessarily consistent with each other so that the numbers in this table do not reflect the exact size of the population.
  3. Where there is no value and a '-' is shown, this may reflect the fact that there were no persons of that background in that year, or it may reflect the fact that the numbers were not published in the sources listed below.
  4. The refugees in Table 3 are listed by country of birth while the numbers in Table 4 represent responses to a question from each Census that asks respondents what ethnic or cultural group they belong to.
  5. The numbers listed in the Bosnia row are the numbers given as 'Yugoslavia, n.i.e.' in the sources listed below.
  6. The numbers listed in the Czechoslovakia row include those of both Czech and Slovak origins in the sources listed below.
  7. For 1981 the numbers listed in the Vietnam row are the 'Indo-Chinese - Indochinois' in the sources listed below.
  8. For 1986, the numbers for both the single (S) and multiple (M) origins are provided for Regina. For 1981 and 1991, and for Saskatchewan in 1986, the numbers seem to include only the single origins.
