Final exam
Basic information
- Date: Monday April 27.
- Time: 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM. Please arrive 10 minutes early.
- Location: HSB 9.
Rules
- Please bring your student ID.
- The exam is open book, in the following sense.
- Allowed: Hatcher (paper version), your notebook, your homework, printouts of the posted solutions.
- Not allowed: Any electronics (laptops, tablets, cell phones, calculators, etc.), someone else's homework, printouts of external material, textbooks other than Hatcher.
Material covered
The final is comprehensive: it covers the lectures from the entire semester.
While the material covered in the oral presentations may be used on the exam, it will not be tested per se.
Problems will be somewhat similar to the homework, suggested practice problems, and exercices from the lectures.
Office hours
I will be holding additional office hours on Friday April 24, 1:30 - 3:30 PM. Then you can pick up your Homework 6 and your oral presentation comment sheet.
Solutions
Exam solutions have been posted on OWL, under Resources / Exam solutions.
Grades
The grades have been posted on OWL. What you see is the raw exam score. The perfect score has been set to 65. In other words, grades have been multiplied by the constant 100/65.
