The E-Business lap activities have been designed to be stand-alone activities. Although there is significant linkage of skills and knowledge between LAP activities (also between the LAP and the course), the activities are very much separate and individual.
The stand-alone nature of these activities causes them to be evaluated primarily summatively. Although some methods of formative evaluation have been identified within this LAP, the overal method of evaluation for LAP activities is summative evaluation.
Each activity is designed to require
about one hour of work from each student. At the end of each activity,
students are evaluated on their ability to complete the activity and to
display knowledge that was learned through that activity. The tools to
measure students ability to display knowledge are in most cases assigned
questions. Students are evaluated on their ability to answer questions
correctly. These questions are assigned at the end of each activity, and
are therefore summative in nature.
