Evaluation Strategy for Intro to the Internet
and Know How!
Formative and Summative Evaluation:
Formative evaluation is evident if the teacher allows students to be able to hand in questions before they attempt the final action or final activity. This unit in the LAP is primarily summative. However, there are a series of questions or activities in each section that allow students to realize their errors. Summative evaluation is a part of each Activity. Each activity has questions to hand in and a final project.

Considering the overall objective of the course, online purchasing is an important section in this LAP. The content in this section is crucial for students to discover the e-commerce world. Students will be able to reflect upon this activity when they create their site. Therefor, this section is allocated the most weight due to the subject matter.
The searching and e-mail sections of this unit are of equal weight
in regards to this course, therefor, allocated the same amount of marks.
Newsgroups aren’t that crucial, However, a good resource for business.
This section is allocated the least amount of marks because it’s content
isn’t as crucial as the other two units.
