COURSE DESCRIPTION:
This course offers students an introduction to the new
marketplace on the Internet under the framework of planning a web based
entrepreneurial venture. The actual business that they plan is secondary
to the overarching goal of providing students with some exposure to what
the Internet has to offer as a tool for business.
COURSE OBJECTIVES:
Upon completion of this course the students will be able
to:

function on the Internet as a Professional Business Person

use and display knowledge of Internet communication tools

communicate effectively on the Internet for both personal
and business purposes

demonstrate understanding of what an Entrepreneur is and
the qualities of an Entrepreneur

generate ideas as an Entrepreneur

develop a Business Plan

demonstrate understanding of a Business Plan’s function and
importance
-
recognize the importance and advantages for a business to
publish online
-
plan, design, create, and publish a Business Web Site using
basic HTML coding as well as HTML editing software
