Student Accessibility - UR Accommodated
UR Accommodated encompasses Student Accessibility, the Brad Hornung Accommodations Test Centre and Campus For All. The goal of UR Accommodated is to support all students in achieving academic success while enjoying a full and rewarding university experience.
Student Accessibility upholds the University of Regina's commitment to a diverse and inclusive learning community by providing accommodation services and supports to help students approach their studies in an equitable and effective manner.
- First point of contact for students requiring academic accommodations and accessibility advocacy
- Authorizes accommodation plans for students enrolled at the University of Regina and Federated Colleges
- Assistance with disability-related student funding applications
- Maintains student confidentiality and privacy while promoting independence and self-advocacy
The Brad Hornung Accommodations Test Centre (ATC) is a centralized area located on the University of Regina main campus for students who have approved exam accommodations through Student Accessibility. Students must be able to write their exams in Regina to make use of ATC services. Exams must be booked at least 7 days in advance. Exams requiring specialized lab equipment cannot be written at the ATC.
- Provides space for students with accommodations to write in-person exams
- Ensures that appropriate accommodations are provided for in-person exams (i.e. readers/scribes, computers, assistive technology)
Campus For All is a four-year post-secondary initiative that supports an authentic student experience and promotes the positive possibilities of education and life-long inclusion for people with disabilities.
