Call for Papers

 

The Department of Philosophy and Classics at the University of Regina is pleased to announce the 38th annual meetings of the Western Canadian Philosophical Association, to be held at the University of Regina, October 12-14, 2001.

We are pleased to announce that

Professor John R. Searle of U.C. Berkeley

will deliver the keynote address. Professor Searle is the author of Speech Acts; Expression and Meaning; Intentionality; The Campus Wars; Minds, Brains and Science; The Rediscovery of the Mind; The Construction of Social Reality; The Mystery of Consciousness; and Mind, Language and Society.

Submission Guidelines

Submission Deadline: July 1, 2001

Papers should be no longer than 15 pages; approximately 4000 words. 30 minutes will be allowed for presentation. Abstract appreciated.

To submit your paper for anonymous review please either:

  1. E-mail an electronic version. The body of your message should include your name and the title of the paper. Please use one of the following formats (no other formats please):
  2. Mail or fax two copies of your paper for anonymous review together with a separate page containing your name and the title of the paper.
