Performances and Concerts:

Wiith over 20 mandolins complemented by flutes, violins, and accordions and other ethnic musical instruments,  the Regina Mandolin Orchestra can perform many types of concerts.  Concerts feature not only the Orchestra as a whole, but individual sections of the orchestra, individual musicians from the group, or special invited guests.  Each concert may showcase new pieces composed or arranged by  Gary Robertson, or new arrangements by other orchestra members.  The orchestra always enjoys the challenge of playing new repertoire and performing in public.

The RMO’s broad range of musical styles and variety of instruments have made it an annual favorite at local  festivals, senior’s homes, and Multicultural Council sponsored tours to smaller communities.

The RMO has performed at many functions and venues. Some notable appearances have been at: the Opening of the Legislature Formal Banquet; Cabinet Minister's Formal Receptions;  Saskatchewan Organization for Heritage Languages Conference;   Cathedral Village Arts Festival, Moose Jaw Folk Festival, Fort Qu’Appelle Mid-summer Arts Festival; Mid-Winter Celidh; University of Regina Cougar Lobster Feed; Air Force Association of Canada Conference; War Brides Conferences; The Irish Pavilion at Mosaic in Regina; performances in  communities around the province, and at  many hospitals and seniors lodges.  Several concerts have been filmed by Access Communications and  featured on  cable television.

The Regina Mandolin Orchestra provides a variety of concert formats including::

·        CAROUSEL,  Music From Around the World
